Hearing Assistive Technology Lending Program

 

Our free, province-wide lending program offers a variety of Hearing Assistive Technology devices tailored for individuals with hearing loss and/or tinnitus. This program allows our clients to trial different technologies, helping them make informed decisions about the most suitable options for their needs.​

 

Benefits of Hearing Assistive Technology:

  • Enhances the volume and clarity of spoken communication​

  • Improves the ability to hear in noisy environments​

  • Promotes safety and independence​

 

Available Devices Include:

  • Speciality telephones​ for people with hearing loss

  • Visual alerting systems (e.g., doorbells, smoke alarms, alarm clocks)​

  • Personal listening devices​

  • And more—our inventory is extensive!​

 

Many of these devices are also available for purchase through our online social enterprise store, Assistive Hearing.​

Hearing Protection: Ear Care and Safety

 

CHHA-NL is dedicated to promoting ear care and hearing safety within our community. Our lending program includes earmuffs for both children and adults, ideal for protecting your hearing at events like Monster Truck shows, car races, or concerts.​

 

  • Earmuffs: Available for short-term loan

  • Earplugs: Available for purchase at our office

Group Listening System Rentals

 

We offer rentals of multi-user listening systems to enhance hearing accessibility at events and workshops. These systems ensure that everyone can be included and actively participate, making your event more inclusive.​

 

Rental Details:

  • Available to both businesses and non-profit organizations​

  • Ideal for meetings, conferences, and public events​

  • Equipment includes transmitters, multiple receivers​, headphones, etc.
