A Tool For Quieter Classrooms

What Are Hushh-Ups?

Looking for quieter classrooms?  Hushh-Ups are special air inflated tennis balls with thick interior rubber core and extra-duty felt covering.  Hushh-Ups also feature a precision machine cut in the top to allow attachment to furniture legs.

Designed to reduce noise in the classroom to benefit students with hearing loss.

“The negative effects of noise on learning are well documented. A child’s audiological system does not fully mature until the age of 13-15 years. This means that listening, concentrating and working with background noise is more difficult for all children. Most classes today include many children who have additional challenges to their ability to learn”.

The Canadian Hard of Hearing Association – Newfoundland and Labrador offers special pricing for schools in Newfoundland and Labrador.
